Recently got to see this in a watch2gether where we set up the theme of 'classic vids', roughly ten years of age or more. I'm so glad this one came up, it really deserves all the praise it's gotten over the years.

The uncanny designs and overall quiet, toned down pacing really sold this for me. I gotta admit I didn't really want to watch it based on the preview image at first, but I figured it there had to be something to it. You don't land in the uncanny valley that hard unless you know what you're doing.

I know it's probably been said a million times over but god this would be a spectacular movie. Don't get me wrong, the game's great, but I LOVE this trailer.

I still quote this all the time.

The decision to change the model and animation is what really sells this, turning a simple meme into an almost surrealist, dream-like visual. I have a hard time walking away from this one without a weird feeling that I'm in the middle of a nightmare.

This is just good vibes.

Gosh this hurts me to watch because it's so real

I'm so glad I rediscovered this. The world building being all show-don't tell really sells it for me, makes me want to delve into it and find out more. It feels like there's so much to discover!

I loved this series back in the day, and I love how it managed to distinguish itself from its inspiration, especially with this installment. It holds up remarkably well!

Just an artist that wants to make comics for all to enjoy.
